Other than that that it's one in 45 games so you're right, it's a remarkable statistic. I don't know if Derby players cheat from time to time but maybe you're right and we should do so ourselves. Have a look at the highlights from our Peterborough game and you'll see the first pen appeal is almost laughable. When a goalie takes a wild, lunging, waist length high kick to stop a player, and still you don't get a pen it's time to give up.
It is almost unbelievable, one would think on average there would be at least 6 or 7 in that run of games. There is a feed back on refs performance so hopefully your manager highlights these issues, at least the strong cases when reporting?

Its not necessarily cheating, but sometimes when a player is fouled, its better to go down in the hope a pen is given, than to try and stay on their feet. Thats really just playing percentages.

I get it that it all happens quickly and a ref has to make a split second decision on what he saw or thinks he/she saw, though one would expect the ass ref to help out, though they rarely seem to and of course may sometimes the ref maybe unsighted, but for that many games not to have a sniff of a penalty seems very odd.

Anyway your in the playoffs having let the Posh win, so not too much to complain about!!
