DJBigBossMan to the rescue... Jacqui McShee was indeed a member of Fairport Convention. She is a British folk singer and became part of Fairport Convention in 1968. McShee's ethereal vocals contributed to the band's unique sound and their exploration of traditional English folk music. She performed on several of their albums, including "What We Did on Our Holidays" (1969), "Unhalfbricking" (1969), and "Liege & Lief" (1969), which is considered a landmark folk-rock album. McShee left Fairport Convention in 1970 but reunited with the band for various projects and performances over the years.

Sorry MA...not important but I have to disagree. The two most notable female Fairport vocalists were Judy Dyble and, of course, Sandy Denny.
Jacqui McShee has indeed ‘guested’ and performed ‘with’ Fairport Convention but was never, to the best of my knowledge, an actual member of the band.
Searching for members of Fairport Convention you’ll come up with at least thirty individuals but I can find no mention of JM as anything other than an occasional contributor and she was definitely a founder member of Pentangle from late 1966 through the years you describe.

Sorry, ram, I don't want to split hairs but I never suggested she was anything other than an occasional contributor to FC, merely that I associated her with the band. Your mention of her made me recall Come all Ye. You're very defintely right about her founding Pentangle though. Among her songs wlly ow winbury stands out to me as something special.
