I really don't get it. Let's spend 4 million to add 4000 seats so that Auntie Ethel can sit with young Archie on her one visit of the season. Bonkers.

With that theory why did we spend +£20 million over ten years ago for 12,000 seats to accommodate a bunch of moaners that sit on their hands. We should have just stayed at don valley, or built a stand on one of the sides of herringthorpe.

Don't know but once it's built it's there forever I suppose. If somehow we do a Luton and get promoted unexpectedly then we will miss out on a lot of revenue by having a stadium not big enough.

Spot on.It is a once off payment and within three seasons we would get the money back.At present the club has the funds to do this.A Barnsley fan told me that they get decent crowds because they have a wider choice when it comes to picking seats together.How many times last season did we have when all seats were taken apart from a few hundred single seats?Too late to do anything this season but we need to back this manager to ensure we finish higher than last season.The chairman says MT is the best manager he has had so give him maximum support.

Make the people who wouldn't go to ground before because they want to be with friends or family sat together enjoy the experience put the word round they did chance they'll return encourage others to try it. I'm same if I'm not enjoying the match day experience I either move seats which I did 3 times last season ok now with seats we've got or don't go which would be the last resort for me.

Luton aren't owned by some Qataris far as I know so it's a possibility especially in this crazy division. Not saying it's gonna happen and I know we've got more chance of relegation than promotion but you just never know, it was only couple seasons ago Barnsley made the playoffs and then it's a lottery.

Luton aren't owned by some Qataris far as I know so it's a possibility especially in this crazy division. The difference between Luton Barnsley and us is that they take the risk of spending on players where we don’t. With us it’s always freebies or loans.

In fact I'll take it further, the groud is the perfect size for our needs, and an iconic building. There ain't much to be proud of in our town.

I really don't get it. So Ethel can't get a seat next to Archie at NYS, but then mention 3 teams that they also cant get a seat together unless you have a season ticket, which are either, extending, planning on extending or recently extended to accommodate more fans?

The initial post in this thread mentioned some on social media have said they arent buying a season ticket at NYS as cant get seats next to each other.

Joking aside it's probably 60 years since that was 'the norm' and leading up to NYS 3-4,000 was more the norm. Admittedly the DVS factor didn't help but if it was my money I don't think I'd be investing in expanding NYS at this point in time.

As for people not buying season tickets because of not being able to get them together/near their mates? If that really is an issue then the club should get creative with offering small incentives to get people to move (a couple of seats/rows) to accommodate newcomers.

We have been here for over 10 years, there will be groups of family and friends that bought tickets sat near each other. Over the years, circumstances changes, people move away, cant afford to attend, or are no longer with us. This leaves random single seats. Maybe its time the clubs shuffles people a few seats along on a row, to create groups of empty seats for newcomers.

we arent getting any younger, so likely there will be a few more empty seats coming up, with the next generation ready to fill them. Unless everyone thinks that a 16-17 year old wants to sit between a couple of old moaning millers.
