Joking aside it's probably 60 years since that was 'the norm' and leading up to NYS 3-4,000 was more the norm. Admittedly the DVS factor didn't help but if it was my money I don't think I'd be investing in expanding NYS at this point in time.

As for people not buying season tickets because of not being able to get them together/near their mates? If that really is an issue then the club should get creative with offering small incentives to get people to move (a couple of seats/rows) to accommodate newcomers.
We have been here for over 10 years, there will be groups of family and friends that bought tickets sat near each other. Over the years, circumstances changes, people move away, cant afford to attend, or are no longer with us. This leaves random single seats. Maybe its time the clubs shuffles people a few seats along on a row, to create groups of empty seats for newcomers.

we arent getting any younger, so likely there will be a few more empty seats coming up, with the next generation ready to fill them. Unless everyone thinks that a 16-17 year old wants to sit between a couple of old moaning millers.
