most loan deals in the championship are outgoings to lower leagues. Prem league will hold on to there's as long as possible.
That's alright but by the end of September we could be in a very precarious position.I hope MT can persuade TS to get as many in as he can before the start of the season ,so we have a strong enough squad to compete successfully.

A goal every 3.68 games, name me any of our players excluding Smithy, past or present, in our squad from the last two seasons that hit those kind of figures?

Still facing 11 opposition players no matter what league he was in. The art is to score and he managed that.

I've just checked this myself, Hugill averaged a goal every 3.6 games last season so just pips him.

Don't try and work out TE's goals per game in a Millers shirt or your abacus and calculator will simultaneously explode

Then get some fella from down the local pub league if it is merely playing against 11 opposition players that matters.

No doubt some of those were in games for Norwich where he came off the bench. Distorts the stat.

Apples and pears. I know you have beaten this drum about Brown, somehow whipping it up like he is the answer (a bit like Stockton beforehand), but he has signed for another league 1 club. If he was better he would probably have a Championship team take him.

Ladapo got one in 3.05 during his time with us if his Wikipedia stats are correct.

Although our lack of signings is worrying and frustrating there may not be a lot the club can do at this point. Take Wes Harding for example who is still unattached and has already forgone a months pay. The modern day player with an agent behind him is a hard negotiator ,I'm afraid. Although there has been some activity between clubs there will be so much more to come as players take it right to the line of the first game of the season. The only thing that baffles me is if pre season is so important, how do these 'guns for hire' get away without having one!

Absolutely not ! Players get paid by their previous club cup to the end of July if they have not got a new club ! That IS the problem !!!
