Maybe there's a skills shortage? You can't just send an unemployed person to an organisation and expect them to do a proper job. Maybe the job you worked at can be easily done by any Tom, Dick, Harry or thieving ******* off the street but industry would grind to a halt if the wrong people were forced into jobs they neither wanted nor were capable of.

Note for the muppet - I'm highly qualified and more than competent in my profession so, however hard it might be for you, try to hold back on the smart arse comments.

Dundee City Council are short of people to empty waste paper bins and judging by the state of Provost Road after the Dundee B home game against East Fife theh also short of people to sweep the streets and pick up the rubbish lying on the pavements and at the side of the road.

Gordon Brown has a lot to ask for bringing in the Working Tax credit scheme when he was the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Yet another incompetent politician who did not work things out before brining in a new scheme.
