Serious punishment that like.
Ivor Toney was caught for exactly the same 'crime' / 'breach of the rules'. Toney Bet on Brentford to win in games he played in. Toney got an 8 month ban. In legal terms this is called 'Setting a precedent.'

Any similar 'crime' / 'breach of the rules' committed by other players after that day - i.e. Tonali - is subject to exactly the same punishment.

Should Tonali receive a longer ban or harsher punishment than Toney the club has the legal right to appeal the sentence.

The will appeal and they will win the appeal as the precedent has been set in the Toney case & also the Fagioli lad also got 7 months. Yes, he was the grass so his sentence will be potentially lighter, however, a legal precedent is a legal precedent. Any good lawyer - Cue Mr Nick DeMarco, still on retainer with NUFC to step into action and sort this Sh!t out for the club.

Him or one of his equally excellent fellows at Blackstone Chambers will ensure that Tonali get's the shortest sentence possible on the clubs behalf.

Today Tonali's agent hinted that the punishment will be just but will be light. So I don't believe we'll be without Tonali for more than the rest of this season. Inshallah we'll see him back by September 2024
