In case you missed it, they had a tough game saturday and had a 4 hour bus trip today, had a tough game saturday and a 4 hour bus journey today, they were tired and had a 4 hour bus journey today, they travelled today on the bus, it was tough for the players it was a 4 hour journey.

I don’t get this as an excuse. I suppose the question is what would they have done different for a Saturday game? It’s still the best part of 4 hours for an earlier KO. If the answer is come up the day before, then why not do that in midweek?

I do however think that the EFL needs to think about midweek games (see thread about VAR). Maybe the league looks at a North/South divide? I remember Notts playing down South on the Saturday and then Gateshead on the Tuesday. That can’t and shouldn’t be right for any team.

Then run 3 up 3 down all the way through.

My point wasn’t clear. What I meant about North/South divide is more around fixtures in midweek. So for example Carlisle last night would never travel to Reading and Reading to Carlisle in midweek. This is a weekend fixture.
Take League 2, It’s made up for 24 teams. Split it in to 12 most Northern / Southern teams for the purpose of midweek fixtures only. Morecambe being one of the most Northern teams wouldn’t play AFC Wimbledon on a Tuesday.

Very pleased with the 3 points especially after going a goal down, well done Notts. Terrible defending from both teams but Crawleys was all game, ours settled down after the first half an hour and good second half. Glad to see Stone get a go. All in all a good night and really pleased for Morias, all the team were so happy for him as well, nice spirit in this camp.

Don't forget steam. They need to get a bit more steam, he said 3 times that they ran out of it.

Thought last night was very entertaining throughout against the 4hr journeymen.
To be fair I thought they set the tempo and were on the front foot from the word go.
It took us time to wrestle the initiative from them after their goal by a very impressive Adam Campbell.
Didzy was something else in the first half, what a quality player he is capped off by a Premier league finish.(thought he might have been offside though but hey ho). Great to see Jimbo finally get on the end of one of his darting runs into the area and for Junior to get on the score sheet will do his confidence no harm.
Overall not our best performance but the boys gave it their all and you can't ask for more than that. Happy for Luke too.

It was a great pass - must admit, from the Pavis Stand I thought Didzy was a couple of yards offside, but it’s impossible to judge from the highlights.

For me, Jodi Jones got us back into the game when he started running at their defence and scaring them to death in the first half. It was the individual class of JJ, Didzy and Dan Crowley that won it for us, because Crawley were actually the better passing team - or in the first half, at least.

Well it should not be no surprise - JJ, Didzy and Crowley all experienced football league players , eventually to make our team stronger going forward to get promoted to L1 and remain there, other areas of the pitch will also have to be replaced by experienced football league players,
as well as the team and players have done, in some cases you have to wonder whether some of them have gone as far as they are going to ? Or perhaps LW thinks they just need more time?
