Spot on gumpy. We all share the same triumph and failure, but we express it in different ways.

Also it's causing trouble already, we're starting to hear some people getting at Williams as they "expect" us to be going for automatic. I think LW is a very capable manager but is working with alot of players under performing whether due to ability, confidence or both. Should we change the system to a back four? Maybe but would that take away from our play going forward which has saved the result often this season? I would hate to see expectations, that are maybe unrealistic for this squad, to derail a promising start under LW.

We should just worry about getting the squad right and then go from there, not the other way round. Just my opinion of course.

Absolutely. Doubt there's anyone more disappointed than me, but it's in the record books now, so, on we go.....

I wonder which teams have scored most goals in League 2 so far this season? The other one is Swindon, who have conceded even more than we have. Some of us seem to think we have a right to success; we don’t. We are in a dodgy patch of form; yesterday’s match was worrying, I agree, but we haven’t lost four in a row, so things could be a lot worse. Why the panic?

You can argue that he hasn't learnt from the fiasco that left Scott injured for the season and left Brindley on at Wimbledon when he went down injured in the box, and held his hand up to come off. That was ignored, and Brindley missed the next few games.

He rabbits on about protecting players, Its a pity he doesn't practice what he preaches...
Come on Durham, Williams hasn't suddenly become a poor coach. We lost Wootton and Roberts last year and he excelled, Rodrigues and Scott the season and he's still got us in the top six . There's no covering for the loss of Palmer and he's not in charge of recruitment which has left him short of a keeper of the required standard.
I'm sure he'll jig things around and keep us competitive but we aren't as good as Stags, Wrexham and probably Stockport and with our injuries not really as strong as MK Dons, Crewe, Barrow in all.

I'm not saying that he is a bad coach, he is in fact a very good coach. He just needs to rewind a little to see where we things are going wrong.. He has some very difficult decisions to make regarding player selection, and its those that could decide his fate...

Disagree about McGoldrick tbh. Imo this team as i said in the summer would miss Rodrigues far more than some wanted to admit. Crowley is a very tidy player who i rate massively, but we don't really have a Ruben type player who is daring enough to play the eye of a needle ball. In regards to Langstaff this happened last season, he very rarely got involved in the build up then either. It won't happen. But i believe Didzy should play up top alone, with Jones, Crowley and Langstaff behind.

I think he's got just about the safest job in the division. Unless we look like going down I can't see him being sacked, certainly hope not. I'm more worried about him becoming disillusioned and being poached. I think he's currently better than the players he's coaching for the most part.

It depends on who we sign in the Jan window. No more ex prems wanting to get fit at our expense..

Palmer, Jones, Bostock, Macca, Scott and maybe Baldwin are the only players who would hold their own so maybe 10 players plus a couple on loan. That amount of investment wouldn't happen and I'm talking to be competitive in the league, not be battling relegation all season. I'd love it to happen but that's not how they're running the club.
Everything is a gamble in this game, to the point that it's a gamble not to gamble.

If it's correct that we only have a top 8-10 budget then I wouldn't expect too much to happen in January. It's often said that it's the worst time to buy because clubs are desperate and the prices are higher.
All well and good if the team is improved but it would be somewhat out of character for the owners to make significant moves for players you would need to slot straight in, rather than take time to settle in and be coached into our way of playing over a pre-season at least, or several months.

Adam Hassel describing fans "pouring out of the ground" prior to the final whistle and the boos that greeted it would suggest it's more than just a few on here who are becoming restless. I'd tend to agree that it's way too early to start rocking the boat, but that's easy to say if you're not travelling up and down the country in all weather to watch it every weak seeing the obvious problems with your own eyes.
