Can't believe some fans are having sly digs at LW after what he's done for you. Regardless of players, who signed them etc, a manager has to put it all together which is never easy, I don't care who you sign. He got you out of the NL in what was the most difficult league/season that league will probably ever see. We spent silly money, so did Chesterfield and there were several other very strong sides as we both saw.

When an established championship / ex prem club comes calling and you live there anyway you can't turn that down.

My only worry would be the replacement manager (no one obvious available) and keeping your best players. Losing your manager is one thing, but a Langstaff leaving too would be pretty grim.
If Langstaff left and with his obvious replacement in Scott out for the season it would see us heading out the play off race unless we can bring someone in as good.

Exactly this. Here he has owners with patience and will back him. There he will be their third choice candidate at best...

That could be a big motivator though, he has a point to prove.

If he didn't he could have made a statement saying it's pure speculation and have no intention of leaving through the club. I'd love him to want to stay but nothing in the last few days suggests it's an unfounded rumour.

Why? he didn't when everyone went into meltdown when he was "having a 2nd interview" that never was at Oxford.

Was Ramsey second choice or just someone whose odds shot up with the bookies ??

LW is going to go i'd be stunned if he didnt go it is just a case of crossing the I's and dotting the T's.

Personally I think this ends our chances of promotion thats how highly I rate him.

They got turned down by a coach at Tottenham, and I believe someone from Man Utd as well

Its only a tiny minority having a go at LW he will leave with the blessing of at least 99% of Notts supporters, most of whom are calm about the situation, after all why wouldn't they be with undoubtedly the best owners in the clubs history?

Would seem a tad odd that they'd turn their attention to someone who last season was in NL and this season has one of the highest goals against in L2 purely because he lives down the road, most odd. I guess he'll not be late for work

Davies at Spurs was who they wanted he used to work for them before and I believe Ramsey has too.

Williams has worked there as we know so it looks like they want someone to connect with the fans.
