Really hope that Bacuna misheard too but sadly doubt it. Given the club's role in helping to introduce Black players into the game and then in supporting initiatives to work to remove racism from football, this is a particular embarrassment and more so following on from the deplorable actions of some "fans" during the Wolves derby. Neither represent the ethos and values of the club, nor the vast majority of supporters. I hope that the perpetrators of both can be quickly identified, prosecuted, fined and banned.

When we discussed the more family atmosphere of women's football during the ladies World Cup, it was mentioned then about bad behaviour and violence by supporters creeping back into the men's game in both the Premiership and Championship. Sadly, we aren't immune to that.
