But it won't change anything IMO. He will keep getting picked because he will be deemed to have a higher potential.
Elite managers will be watching young Jimmy and saying, "No thank you!".

Sounds good to me, a season in the Championship after the PL will be a doddle for Jimmy, in 18 months time he'll be more the finished article and we'll have England's future keeper on our hands at just 22 years of age.

The point I was making mon ami is that I can't see any of the top EPL rushing in with £30 million quid offers to take young Jimmy off our hands in July - can you?

True or not BT I think Newcastle have enquired but they would wouldn’t they when they got Pope for a snip of his worth and we bent over backwards and took the medicine in a clear out.

There is a lot of mis understanding with Jimmy on here and I’m not blind to the fact he has flaws in his game but he’s a young man who will improve dramatically- the crap he gets on here is in justified with the exception of Saturday when he was at fault for their first ( it happens ).

We have so many fundamentally wrong problems in our defending and weak midfield areas that the keeper will constantly be open to barrage as we can’t stop conceding goals and as for Muric he’s also in proven at premiership level and I don’t think he commands his area any better than Jimmy - but hey that’s just me.

VK is going to have to accept that if you pile forward against good teams and create chances against them you are going to leave yourself open.

Personally I think VK has to find the happy medium in between playing as we do gung ho style , and a really tight defensive unit.

Watching Everton at City it was a Dyche masterclass in defending for long periods and it took me right back to his tenure here - 10 men behind the ball only step out if we have a corner - set piece etc but do everything possible to stop the crosses and runners beyond- something we just don’t do.

No, you're right mon ami, I can't see it either. On the other hand, I'm not getting my knickers in a twist about him on a weekly basis either. I honestly thought Vinni was taking a big risk with him, throwing him into the deep end of the PL, given his age and lack of experience, I thought a couple of the pastings we were going to get could destroy his confidence, but it hasn't. I watch all the PL keepers closely, and they all make mistakes, some of them more glaring than Jimmy's. I have no problem with him, there are worse keepers in the PL than Jimmy, give him time and he'll be playing for England.

Congruence on this one mon ami, but I would very much like to see Muric given a couple of games.

I think it's a bit late for that now, Trafford is young, he's learning on the job, it's a steep learning curve but he'll be a better keeper for a full PL season. Leave him alone, he'll learn nowt sat on the bench.

I can't get my head round the fact that VK was an exceptional centre-back but can't fathom a way to protect young Jimmy.

I think one major bollox dropping was not retaining Billy Mercer when Dyche got his P45.

I think that's not far off the club's strategy for the next few years. We've had an influx of young 'potential', that might mean short term results are ropey, but in a few years we'll have built a better core squad. Keep adding more as you sell a few that have excelled. It's Brighton all over IMO which I can get behind.
