What I'm trying to say is, major decisions that change the course of the club's future take time to make. You need to be absolutely certain you are making the right decision and that you have exhausted all possibilities of a turnaround in fortunes.

Sacking the manager isn't the first thing you do so solve a problem, it's one of the last. Being in danger of relegation would force a bit more urgency, but we aren't in that position yet.

Most of what you say Slack is correct.
However, our previous manager walked out on us mid season. I would suggest that they had to come to a decision much more quickly than they would have liked and having to choose from a much smaller set of candidates. So I don’t necessarily think you can dismiss the possibility that they might change their minds if and when the right person became available.
If SM can achieve something like a 50% win rate in his remaining matches then he will have steadied the ship.
Montague should still go though.
