Combine this with no doubt the usual jammy draws where they’ll somehow avoid France who I think are the only side who can realistically stop them and regretfully I think it only adds up to one thing.

Of course I absolutely and desperately hope I end up completely wrong.
Depth? They’ve only got one recognized left back that is crocked. One decent centre half who is also crocked. Apart from Walker the defence is pish—including the keeper. Can honestly see them having a nightmare of a tournament.

Well fingers crossed cos it might be all we've got to look forward to.

Agree with what you say about their defence though and it usually comes home to roost when they meet a top side.

Their players are made to look like world beaters when surrounded by foreign talent in the EPL but put them together in an England side and you'll need a better coach than Southgate to make it work. Hope tf this doesn't come back to bite me by the way.

I worry about our central defence but then i have done that even going back to the days of Miller and Hansen remember Spain 82?.IF our midfield have the energy to go full tilt for 90 minutes every 4 to 5 days we may just make history and keep me aff this board for longer than a fortnight

We need to tell our customers when we are returning late due to holidays etc and the amount of people saying we are going tae has been simply unprecedented. This trip to Germany will carry the largest Scotland support in the ancient nation's history and figures of around 200,000 may not be too wide of the mark.

I hope that the squad are galvanised by the scenes they witness on TV and social media,it actually takes me back to that epic day in Paris in September 2007 ,the huge march to the stadium by thousands of the Tartan Army and rounded off in the evening by the boot of James McFadden.

I too have also worried about an English win,i along with a few others on this board remain scarred with a lifetime of them going on about 66 and showing the whole match on the eve of almost every world cup tournament since that they have qualified for. I do agree with Japan Arab though regarding their defence and keeper,to leave out over £300,000,000 of talent from forward area's yet take an unfit left back(their only one)who may miss most of the group stages shows how lop sided their squad is.

I have a decent record of picking the winner of the Euro's and the World Cup and had Argentina and Italy in the last two tournaments. In 2010 i was in the fortunate position of having both teams i had picked in the final,Spain v Holland and could not lose. This time i am going for France to win it with Spain as my back up.

Just to pick up on a couple of earlier posts,England are indeed the bookies favourites but that is very heavily weighted with patriotic betting and France were minus a few key players in Qatar yet still made the final,as far as i'm aware all these players are available this time.I would say the main threat to my bets are the Germans rather than the English but who know's for definate eh?.

Not sure if you're away yet GB but sending all the best for a great trip and hoping you see a win (or two)

Stuart Armstrong light training today, back to full training tomorrow. Might not start any of the 3 but he's at least one that can come off the bench and change things.

I worry that Scotland players never seem to produce club form in the dark blue shirt. As someone mentioned in another thread, about English players being made to look good among a sea of foreign talent at club level. Maybe the case for our boys? I am waiting to see how the great Billy Gilmour fairs, as according to Keith Jackson of the DR, he is Scotland’s best player and ready to be unleashed on Europes finest!
