Don't you just mean he'll be playing higher than League 2?

One of the few things folk on here agreed last season was that KC was one of the (many) weak links in defence and didn’t merit the captaincy - partly because he wasn’t one for geeing his teammates up, but also he wasn’t leading by example. I cringed at the time, but there was a reason some guy asked SM about appointing a more inspirational captain at the last fans’ forum.

As for why now, people were moaning on here (for a change) last week about no news coming out of the club. They give you some, and now you’re moaning about it. Truly, like a team with Seamus McDonagh in goal, they just can’t win.

Well he will probably get 20+ goals again next season and that will be all the confirmation that a higher placed team (or one with better prospects) will need to go for him (he will have repaid whatever debts he thinks he owes us and will look to his career).
All conjecture of course and based on a feeling in my water.

I'm alluding to the possibility that we may be the higher placed team after next season.

Will now look bad on Macca if he leaves this summer. Club could easily have held its water. KC may even have left by then. Can't believe either Macca or KC are happy about the timing of this announcement.
Jesus you must be fun at parties. What a wholly negative view of the club and this announcement.

I have always have time for KC and i hope he stays with us, he was made a scrapegoat on many occasions, some were warranted some not, as someone else mentioned ML had some poor games as well as great one but never recieved the same abuse, and at times it was just abuse for the sake of it towards KC. He made some tremendous runs from the back leaving a trail of opponents in his wake, and yes he did have poor games as well. If he stays with us he could have a regular role to play in our squad, even though i don't get the thing that with the shackles off he will be different, i don't think it makes any difference, same player. If you do leave KC all the best to you and a big thank you.

This board will never cease to amaze me.
One of the players that we so desperately want to keep is made club captain, he releases a statement regarding how proud he is and some of our fans can still draw negatives out of it.

Exactly - it blows your mind! I just don’t understand the way these people think.
