It's worked out so well hasn't it? God forbid that a dress wearing Manc should get anywhere near power.

NB - I've left May out of it as she has a strong sense of duty and actually tried to minimise the damage caused by the Brexit vote.
...is that your opinion or Teresas'?

It's easy to hold those views when you are married to a billionaire (and Valance presumably made a bob or two in her own career).

I don't agree with any politics that seeks to demonise those who have worked hard and gathered a little wealth (I've done that myself in a modest fashion), but I don't think I will ever 'wake up' and reject the notion that a society should strive to support the less well off and provide equality of opportunity. A society that does those things is likely to be more at ease with itself and less troubled by crime.

I see that Valance was wearing a red dress when she met Trump. I do hope that won't trigger some of the posters on this thread.

    Quite like the Labour manifesto

Not going to raise income tax
Not going to raise National Insurance
    Not going to raise VAT
    Not going to borrow money

Going to do it by growing the economy

Cue global reasons why they won't do it

Beyond our control yadda yadda yadda

You stick with the Tories on the back of a daft football analogy if you want, but I'm going to pass.
Didn't need food banks before Blair.

"The first food bank in our network was created in a garden shed and garage in Salisbury in 2000."

Some clues in last night's debate. Apparently capital gains tax rises "aren't in the manifesto".... but neither is any mention whatsoever of capital gains tax.

Get ready for a big hike in capital gains tax in Labour's first budget.

I'm hoping that a wealth tax will be in it as well as (as far as I am aware) that's not got a mention in the manifesto.

Starmer is playing this election pretty much like Boris did in 2019. Then we had "get Brexit done" and bug ger all else in a pretty flimsy manifesto. Labour's line this time is "look what an absolute dog's breakfast the country is in after 14 years of Tories" and not much else. With Sunak making things worse every time he opens his mouth the Tories are in for the absolute Mother of all political humiliations.

It's going to be very good viewing through the night of the 4th July

Good Trojaneering by Red Kier- laying the plans nicely to get into power and then BOOM! Next day nationalise ****ing everything, 75% income tax on anyone earning over 75k, 50% corp tax on *******s, going up to 89% corp tax on anyone with cigars, and free *** workers for the poor.

Oh, and chuck in free broadband too, just as revenge for last time. Not in the red wall areas though. They're all ****s.

    Salut comrade.
