I'd guess a fair percentage would happily swap the improvements to Meadow Lane since 1992 for facilities similar to what Luton still have, had it meant staying in the top three tiers since then whilst playing a more direct style of football and owned by people with a less than ethical business track records, given the choice.

I've no doubt also that if the club had gone bust in 2019 and started all over again in a new makeshift 5k capacity ground on the outskirts, struggling to get out of tier 8, some would be saying they've never enjoyed going to Notts more and that it's much more pleasant visiting friendly little towns and villages that nobody had previously heard of than going to Millwall or Leeds.

It's a matter of fact unfortunately that we are still pretty much at our lowest point in history and the gap between us and our nearest rivals is as wide as its' ever been, to the point that we've now got a generation of fans who don't even care about or understand that rivalry. We have finished lower than last season, but barely. The lowest we've ever finished is 97th, so we've just finished a mere 15 places above our own all-time rock bottom.

I'm not able to attend these days unfortunately, though the games I have watched on the TV have mostly been entertaining enough, but I've never been a fan the passing game, much preferred the Warnock, Allardyce, Allen approach.

It is a cynical ploy to put his transfer value up. Good idea.

I doubt it does. He isn't likely to play us for a few seasons, if ever (unless we draw whoever he's playing for in the cup) and if the price is right for both parties he will be up and away.

I don't think this changes anything, to be honest, except it may deter some who were outsiders to get him anyway. I doubt it would ward off the likes of Coventry or Swansea. All parties know the game and will realise it isn't likely to be a deal breaker either way.

For what's worth I do agree with you about the timing in so much as it could have/should have been done at the start of pre-season training, that would have given KC time to get somewhere else and save face and stop the club looking insensitive (which, IMO, this does). To announce it this early into the close season seems strange to me, but there you go.
