Thread: New signings

  1. #201
Rutter is definitely off - being reported that the clause stopped having effect at midnight last night and Brighton activated it last night.

Either Rutter or more likely his agent must have told Brighton - bye bye and fcuk off with the kissing the badge crap.

The days of loyalty are a long gone thing hopey.

So we have sold 99% of individuals who have the key to unlock defences , we have just Gnonto left who blows hot and cold , bare in mind Farke is clueless tactically and heavily relies on individuals to win him football matches.

I hate to be a neg head but I see a wasted season coming up with us not even getting in the play-offs , can also see Farke going before Xmas cos once this fan base starts to turn its goodnight vienna.

    Happy feckin daze (NOT!!!)

So we bought Rutter for 36m and put a 40m release clause in his contract.

Makes great sense that doesn't it

Radz and Orta to blame for all these contract f*ck ups - but ultimately the players choose to go of their own volition - no gun at their heads!

Rutters 1st season with us, he was a total plum and we'd have taken 5mil. Last season he was ok despite spending most of it on his arse and having the shooting power of a puff pastry. Although i do admit he was the most improved player and the only 1 we had with a bit of trickery .
It's not players leaving that annoys me, it's our total inability to want to replace them with anyone useful.

The gutting thing he is a genuinely exciting player the games I have been to when he gets the ball you can here the excite build in the crowd and he can get people off their feet too.

The most galling thing is there is sfa we or the board can do about it.

We pay 35m for a player probably worth half the at and then put a release clause in so close to what we paid - grrrrr.

Like someone else just said if we replaced them with decent players it would be ok, but we don’t, we huff and puff and do sod all whilst others are active and sign players, I don’t know how our scouts etc earn a living

And who would sign for Farke at the minute.
He has all the charisma of a brick.
Charisma or not your comment about why would Rutter stay and (equally if not more important, why would any player with two brain cells to rub together sign up to be a Leeds player, spot on.

Not sure it's an inability, more inclined to believe it's a case of having a nice healthy bank balance generated by things supposedly out of their control, before owning up to the fact they don't have a Scooby as to how to run a real football club and departing tail between legs and we end up with the Red Bull stadium @ Elland Road, or some such.
