As you say Hope, when the club fails to achieve the goals we would all like, of course the resident know-it-all on here is going to have claims to be right more often than not. It's called the law of averages....when you predict doom on everything. He will continue to do so, just so he can gloat about being right more often than anybody else. It's the only way he get his jollies...
So working in the law of averages, me adopting a far more sceptical view of mist things related to LUFC, I ought to be proved wrong somewhat more often than I have been, n'est pas? I don't gloat, simply respond to posts like yours and HO (what an appropriate moniker) by saying that my views, had they held sway at LUFC, would have saved the club tens if not hundreds of millions in wasted transfer fees and wages paid to has-beens and never-weres (and as like as not made it more likely that we would still be in the OK, if you regard that as a good thing), who never contributed to the club and in many cases caused it material damage, e.g. Koko, who was supposed to be the next big thing in the gk world, helped us a lot didn't he?
Anyway, you and HO and a few others continue with the "hope triumphs over expectation" philosophy, I'll stick with my more real world views until proven otherwise.
As the thread title suggests that footballing matters were the subject, and my comments were entirely in keeping with that, I'm wondering just what persuaded you to regurgitate the same rather tired mantra from years ago (apart from having very little original thought to regale us with), none of which has the remotest connection with the thread. And btw, I don't take to "bashing those keys" it's detrimental to the health of the tech.
You never learn mate do you?
I've had a lot of time over these last 15 months to take stock of what is and what isn't important in my life,
Family friends and cheerful aquaintances, nice places & holidays and good nights out with friends. Football isn't really that high in my priorities anymore, but most folks on here are decent cheery Leeds fans who come here to LOOK FORWARD to seeing their team and hoping for the best, enjoy a bit of banter and moan a bit after poor results - just the same as you meet at any ground in the country.
What I don't do anymore is make time for misserable cnuts who just tend to drag me down with them. I've binned a few off in my personal life already. Life is short and precious, and i've had plenty of nagative shyte to contend with over the last three years - not anymore Hopey. I don't have either the time nor inclination to argue or even correspond with deppressing constantly negative fcukwitts, either in person or on forums like this, and believe me I wish I had seen the light years ago.
Just saying like
Sunderland not happy (welcome to our world) just sold Jack Clarke to Ipswich for 15m + 5m in add ons, Spurs get a 25% , so basically they have sold one of the best wingers in the championship and will be getting 11.75m up front , he's only 23 , Ipswich had their pants down and may even stay up now.
Until we are dining in the top division again we are all primed for this sort of sh1t.
