Maybe it went above and beyond their value strategy?. If you say they wanted him they wanted him at their valuation and no further..! Its quite simple when you think about it !! X

Shall we all pretend jatta doesnt exist and doesn't count for anything this season to fit your theory.
Morias left and scored nominal goals last season how many was it one.?.maybe 2.? We still have Crowley and Jones so even if we pretend Jattas goals dont count we still have threats in them along with Scott and Mcgoldrick.
Jatta contributed goals last season yes, but we've lost Langstaff so therefore we will be down on goals, especially as Scott hasn't seemingly got up to speed and McGoldrick is another year older and at the end of his career. The fact that we'll be relying on Jatta primarily and not really rotating the attack will lead to injury and/or a performance drop off towards the end of the season where results matter more. If you don't understand such concepts, you really ought to let the grown ups talk

Yeah, so instead of having an asset for a bit more outlay for saying 3-4 years, we loaned a player with no real adult football experience that we will have for a maximum of a year and not own, where is the value there?

I watch quite a bit of PL2 and academy football. There is a reason why the under 23 sides in the tin pot trophy never progress to the final stages, because when teams put out their full strength sides, they're just too good for them. They lack physicality and the energy needed in competitive adult football. Sure, they're very technically sound, but they don't have the other attributes yet to compete against seasoned pros. Now sure, there is the argument how do they get this without playing but do we need two in a position that is quite important to have physical attributes?
The other thing about even the top PL teams U21 sides is that few of the players in the team in each year will make it at the top level
Most will end up lower league or part time or give up the game altogether when their contract expires and they aren't kept on

And how do you know he won't be rotating his attack.? Maybe he will do this to prevent injuries and fatigue as he seems an astute chap for a BT engineer. Maybe this is why he signed Brown from Rovers who you seem dead set against. As I understand the concepts you mention I think I feel it's ok for me to participate further in this discussion as and when needed. As for grasping adult concepts I believe we've signed 3 players since you accused the board and Maynard of lying, maybe its time you gave your under 10 mentality a rest and focus on your playdo...!

For what it's worth, if Brown got drunk and slapped a drunken woman who was allegedly being racist towards him and pulling his hair in the street then, I agree, even that provocation doesn't make it acceptable to slap her. However, he's paid his fine and has sought and received help for his drinking problem and, in my opinion, deserves a second chance, provided he's straightened himself out. If you are of a different opinion that's fine of course, we're all entitled to them whether apologist, bedwetter or somewhere in between.

    This ^^

The value is we get a promising player paid to play for us by his parent club who is versatile and able to play several positions if need be.it also buys us time to research a suitable replacement with the values of radar when the time is right x

The proof of the pudding for all this infantile, one-upmanish will be when Jatta is injured or suspended. We are where we are so what is the point of bitching? (PC police rebuff coming no doubt).

Your posts are so riddled with contradictions and unfounded negativity that I almost feel embarrassed for you. It’s not even worth calling them out any more.
If we end up having a successful season, fans like you really don’t deserve to be a part of those celebrations.

Certainly plenty of negativity and some contradictions. None of us is totally confident that we're going to have a great season, but I'm fairly confident that we're not going to have an awful one. If we do end up in a relegation battle, or even mid-table mediocrity, I will feel we are badly underperforming, not that our squad is too poor.

I suppose I was greatly influenced by events in the early '70s when I started following and watching Notts. We were fourth division champions, then 4th in the third division the next season. The year after that, we were languishing in 17th position before going on a great run to get promoted in 2nd place. Nice one, Sirrel. The players were good enough, and in the end they demonstrated it.
