That being said, imprisonment is a factor that can be taken into account for deportation purposes and I have had several clients released by the prison service only to be taken into custody by the border agency for deportation.

That wouldn't have made a good story for the Express or Mail though.
Never is where they're concerned but, it would raise some praise for any Government if these stats were collated and reported on so the British Taxpayer could see where their money is spent and what on when it comes to the Prison/Court services like deportation.
