But shouldn't you be asking why Odoffin[/i] and others have been 'bang average' this season? A possible explanation (and pure speculation) is that it comes down to demoralisation and/or uncertainty as to the system that they are playing to and what is expected of them. If that were the position who does that come down to?
There are many styles of management from the 'arm around the shoulder' to the 'hairdryer' approach, with effective management requiring a bit of both depending on the circumstances.
I've watched the Rotherham bench quite closely at a couple of games this season and I have seen only bellowed micro-management of a type that would make me tell a certain member of the management team to go and **** himself if he did it to me.
