Many are saying that once we get Edwards, Grant and Jones back then things will improve. Out of those 3 only Jones will make any notable difference. Edwards is only any good against weaker opposition, Grant is just another glorified Josh martin. So if dont we sign some decent players in January, the fall down the league will continue.. We need a ball winning midfielder, a recognised striker and a pacey winger (Not wingback)

Is there anyone in the 2nd XI that is challenging a first choice player? Perhaps the only close call is Macari/Ness? None of the 1st team are looking over their shoulders thinking they have to put a shift in or they will lose their place, there's no hunger as a team (Jatta, Didzy, Bedeau, Platt show desire, the rest (?) just do what they have to do).

You might be right Durham but struggling to see how you make theses conclusions so early, surely he?s not played more than 4 or 5 competitive games for us and he definitely looked decent in at least a couple of them.

You can tell whether a player is any good after watching them play a few games. Edwards looked decent against the poorer sides, but against better opposition he looked lightweight, and was no better than the other bench warmers. Just my opinion though..

agree. And we played as badly as I've seen Notts play under the Bros. Zero sugar, zero salt. No creativity, no bite.

I think Edwards might well become very good for us - but he's mostly an unknown at this level so we're all still reading tea leaves when it comes to him.
