Some young gun who will come in determined to prove he is better than the first choice, just like it used to be. And that goes for Jatta as well (if we sign someone better, but we won't).

Some young gun? From the Prem on loan? Who will expect plenty of minutes?

I?ve said this from the summer when people say we haven?t replaced Macca. We play one upfront, we have Jatta who?s clearly the no 1 choice so talk about getting another talented experienced number 9 who?s happy to compete for the shirt is pie on the sky for me. There?s probably only one club in the prem with 2, Villa, Alvarez for city was a very good player but he left because of no game time, Spurs could never tempt anyone because of Kane. I?ve said from the start we should try and get another 10 that can play at 9 when needed or a young player who will accept less minutes, but that comes with the obvious risk.

I never said you did. That's why I added question marks. Because I don't know who you might have in mind. Someone who would be good enough to play 9 but who would be happy to sit for 80 minutes on the bench or be played out of position on the wing just to get game time.

Jattas been great for us but I think the stats and our eyes say he misses far too many good chances. Theres a definite chance for someone, either permanently or on loan to stake a regular place in the team.

Needs to show some steel and hopefully he?ll hit gold.

Thought someone might say this based off the last game and ignore the 20 games previously, Jatta is no more wasteful than most good strikers at this level and offers a lot more than what a young prem striker would on loan.

Jattas hold up play, pressing and general presence (including defending set pieces) has been massive for us this season, and he has improved a lot since his move in Jan.

It was me that posted that, I was told by someone else who got it from someone with a bit of insider knowledge. The original source reported that Scott had slagged off team mates and club and has demanded a move in Jan.
