In a last bit of weirdness, the club statement shared a (genuinely moving) piece from Ceds that it said he posted on social media, but I can't see it on his Twitter or his Insta.

Good luck to him. Always hoped he'd come good for us but he's got a hell of a challenge for the rest of this season now.

Undisclosed fee. Looks like our poster The Dug Out was correct.

As I've said further up the thread it's a real shame that it did not work out for Cedwyn Scott at Notts for one reason and another since his penalty got us back up to the EFL.

For me he does leave with thoughts of "what if" as in what if he hadn't had that injury last season and how would he have progressed and developed in the past 18 months under LW and SM?

Hopefully the move to Carlisle will enable him to start a fresh and give him time and experience at league two level that he was not able to have here. He leaves with best wishes from me and the Wembley penalty is moment that won't ever be forgotten.

Goodbye Cedwyn Scott / Matty Saunders Absence etc. etc.

I appreciate there is a Scott thread already, but there is a lot of nonsense and needlessness on there.

The man who delivered the moment that all of us will cherish forever deserves a decent send off.

So, thank you Cedwyn. You will always hold a special place in many a Magpies heart.

The moment that penalty went in is one I will never forget. Hugging my old man and brother in tears after such a wonderful season was a moment to behold.

We will always have Wembley ❤️

I travelled a long way for that unmissable game which from Cedwyn Scott?s spot kick onwards became an unforgettable game for every Notts fan in attendance.

The feeling for the 40 mins after the ball hit the back of the net was truly magical and a little emotional.

For that I am forever thankful to this young man.

    Good luck

All the best Cedwyn, really hope it goes well for him. Provided one of the best moments of my life.

Along with every member of that squad, will always be a legend in my book.

Thank heavens he has only moved clubs. With the other post being put up I thought he had been abducted by aliens!
