Well done Notts for getting the cash. Good riddance.
So he?s moved for a better paid job what a surprise that is.

    This general hypocrisy astounds me.

We missed him when he was injured so only time will tell if we miss him now he’s gone.
I bet Nemane is pleased hoping for those lovely through balls inside the full back for him to run onto.

No issue with him going for more money and even to a plastic club and no issue with Notts not matching it.
My issue is him openly saying communication was going on and saying he was auditioning himself there whilst playing for Notts whilst all the time our fans blasting out his song, to me it?s totally classless.

Yeah, the bros have 100% made the right decision here. Decent money for a player who wanted out and would have walked in the summer. Plus, his official MKD statement shows a man who's head had already been turned. If anything, his message seems like a calculated dig at Notts for keeping him against his will for the last few months. We're better off without players like that, even though he's clearly a class act on the pitch.

For a star player, there was never much love between Crowley and the fans. Nothing like with Ruben and Macca - I still check Oxford and Millwall's results hoping to see they've scored. Couldn't care less about Crowley, but I sincerely hope MKD don't go up for all manner of reasons. Disgusting little club and a stain on English football. Good money though eh!

Just stating what was said in the statement

    Agree with this.
No issue with him going, no issue with the club selling. Let?s not forget he would have joined us for exactly the same reasons from Morecambe. It?s just business.
We have an exceptional recruitment team who seem to upgrade every ?star? player we sell.
Motivation and drive is such a huge factor in performance. What better motivation for our players and management than listening to Crowley saying MKD is the first club he?s been at that could go ?all the way.? (Whatever that means.)
And actually Dan, Arsenal were easily the best team you?ve been at that can ?go all the way? but you clearly wasn?t good enough at that level.

Why do my apostrophes change to question marks?

Yes. This is where I am. It?s not what (although disappointing, undoubtedly the most creative player in that squad) it?s how. I?ll add to this that a player wanting to take a big money move in 12 months should either not take the security of a 2 year contract or at least keep their head down (see Langstaff). I don?t buy all this ?it?s a job? 💩. It is, but it?s also a legally binding obligation you?ve signed up to. If the club behaved the same (see sterling) it would be tantamount to constructive dismissal and considered totally unacceptable.

I think folk need to separate contract law in football from the real world.. contracts aren?t worth the paper they are written on in football. What industry do employees get paid up their contract when sacked? What industry has the employees with all the power? The answer is none except football.
Players know they have the power to force whatever they deem fit. DC has done this himself. In fact if DC had been more intelligent than he has been, he could have signed a pre contract at MK and added wonga to his pay whilst citing I?ve saved you 300k, so I want 100k signing on fee as an example.
Notts got an offer we deemed acceptable and DC wanted to go? move on, the club and player have.
