I don't see anything in the Notts County club statement to suggest they've left under a cloud, in fact they refer to the "significant role" Matt Saunders played and Maynard personally wishes him well. I'm not saying there's no chance there's more to it, but football fans do like a drama. Not every occurrence has to have a sordid back story.
Our owners are hardly going to say anything else are they now. Staff leaving any club get a glowing tribute., no mater why they've left.
