I suppose you'd prefer setting up a committee, that would look into setting up a tribunal, that would take 2 years to report back and cost a fortune and run the risk of more passengers dying?
Well you certainly run the risk of more passengers dying if you mis-identify the cause of this horrific accident. Even experts on PPRUNE are not fully clear on what happened. Or are you saying there was a non-Texan in the control tower or a non-redneck flying the chopper and that was the cause?

Commander in Chief perhaps should not be permitting military aircraft to be operating on different frequencies around a very busy airport. Or maybe the control tower was understaffed. Or maybe the controller should have ORDERED the chopper to move to a specific position. The cause of the accident is being questioned by some very skilled people who will ensure they have all the available data at hand - not some loud mouthed megalomaniac trying to score political points. Wouldn't surprise me if there are strikes as a result of this. By the way, at least one major airline will not operate in and out of Washington DC airport at night because of their concerns about safe operating procedures.
