Appreciate we're thin. We set out that way and we've not been able to fill gaps in January (opinions will vary on how hard we've tried and how many we'd ideally bring in, but again there is no obligation to share this). We're only realistically 8-10 points from safety and have 19 games to get there, in a division where we've seen some utter sh**e, it's inconceivable we can't average half a point a game, even factoring in some tough games like tomorrow's. Billy Hill have us at 200/1 to go down, if you're even remotely concerned, there's a few grand to be had for very little outlay, and you may get better odds by shopping around - I just don't think it's remotely likely we could lose another 12-plus games from here.
I'd like to see some younger players getting a chance, and this is a good time to do that (whilst there's f*** all to play for), but my concern is that they're not ours. Again though, it's irrelevant because with Evans in charge we will be dealing in older players, 1-2 year deals, and very little thought beyond the season we're in.
I agree though, Gore is a weird move, but possibly handed to him rather than him driving it.
