Everyone on a contract which ends in the summer was never going to sign another one. Selling those already gone and bramall with cam had to and will happen. Add Odofin too.
They need the money and under the current climate of the club, supporters and management team especially, selling is the only option.
The real sticking point is one Hugebill. A fire sale due in part to his wages.
Just another Blackstock.
This board never learns.
I am not saying it is right, by no means. But them wanting to stay or us keeping them would have to be under a different manager and board mindset. Dial back to Warne. 4 going were brought in by him with a different culture and playing method and club atmosphere.
People on here need to wise up. It?s not the fact of they should be players we need to keep, it is more a case things are changing and THAT is what is wrong. And, not being upfront with supporters (we will challenge bull) is the polar opposite.
We had players go on a free in summers whilst keeping to stay up. People disagreed with that.
It is obvious the recruitment has been dreadful, and not just by evans. Obvious now we will not challenge. Had we challenged and gone up, we probably would have sold with bigger fees.
But, with facts laid bare?..only one thing to do. Sell.
But to do it in Jan and not before, big mistake. Because now we will not get enough replacements and what we do my even put us in the drop zone as they may be not be good enough.
We need to see things in context and lay the correct blame.
