Other than Crowley most have jumped up two leagues that is HUGE in football and salary wise as I keep saying is a no brainer.

The Brothers have been at Meadow Lane since 2019, and in all that time they appear to have always worked in the very best interests of Notts.
At the end of the day, football is a business and from time to time key people leave for pastures new. Notts are no exception, but when the owners have been confronted with potential problems, they have taken the opportunity to step up and make improvements. We have great days ahead to look forward to and today’s events are just another step in the ups and downs of supporting Notts County.

    Progression? What progression!

Many of the departed either leave for more money or more money and up a division or two. Yes it?s far from ideal, it?s a bit unsettling but it?s also a great sign about what the club are all about and what has been achieved

Good luck to him and I wish him well, can?t blame anyone in wanting to further their careers or just wanting a change, he?s worked for the bros for 14 years so a good stint.
The good thing is all our systems and processes will be well documented internally and it will just be about getting the right person in.

Is it just as simple as wanting to progress their careers in a higher league or do they genuinely think that Notts won?t or can?t go much higher? And if so, why? For their part the owners never seem too non-plussed about any departures, like ?if they don?t want to be part of it, that?s ok?.next!? So that is encouraging.

I guess it is just in our nature now to worry that everything is just going to crumble down around us after everything the club and its fans have been through for so long.
It is a bit of a pisser that we lose key people at the drop of a phone call, especially when you see that someone like Stockport have somehow managed to keep hold of Challinor.

The optimistic side of me thinks we could afford to pay silly money to keep hold of them but choose not to in the name of sustainability. And also the owners have confidence in themselves to get someone better.

My goodwill to Luke Williams has definitely run out he will be gutted to hear.

What?s also interesting is the bros must really trust him, no gardening leave and left to do the window too, says a lot a really as this offer I imagine would have been at least 3 months ago.

Alves to head up recruitment (he's done so much player analysis) and appoint a new assistant coach?

Do you mean like being in an automatic promotion spot in League Two despite having sold players for large fees along the way rather than playing in the National League?

Exactly (although I don't think you intended that ?). We all know why key people are leaving (apart from the coaching staff that have left).

Don't forget we refused all offers for AJ in the window that's just closed
AJ wasn't looking to leave, unlike Dan who was narked that we knocked back MK's bids on the last day of the summer deadline
Even in January we drove a hard bargain despite Dan agitating to go if we didn't cough up what he wanted to sign a new deal
As I said earlier RM must have had a tremendous offer from Swansea as I think.he was very happy here
