He might struggle for Championship/Prem level ideas and end up recreating the Ruben-Maca show there

But now we have the blueprint in place, why employ more coaches?

I would not begrudge a manager wanting to try his hand at a higher level. I would expect a compensation package though.

I was joking, I'm sure Swans will be looking up the league for their new manager or even abroad like all Premiership teams do these days.

He could still have loved it at Notts and saying that could have been genuine.

For many younger fans the promotion winning season was the best season they have seen regardless of the fact it was in the fifth tier. It doesn't make it any less special it's football at the end of the day whatever the level. I will never forget the memories of so many wins, the battle with Wrexham, amazing football, the Boreham Wood semi final comeback, and the Wembley trip culminating in Scotts penalty followed by the celebrations. Fantastic and incredible memories that will last a lifetime.
Well said 👏 I find it astounding some of the trash talking about him on here, life's losers 🙄

Luke Williams was a class Manager and knitted together the support , turning us into a club to be proud of once again. I would happily take him back.

this. Lots of time for LW, it's hard not to wonder what he would have done in L2 with the new defence, but think Maynard may prove to be a more rounded coach.

Unfortunately some people are just brimful of jealousy and suffer from a binary view of the world where nobody is allowed to test themselves outside of the compound of their (ie the hater's) choosing.

I'm sure he would but would we have been able to assemble this squad with Luke's input (I'm sure he must have had some). We seem more balanced but less flashy with Maynard's set up than Luke's 1-2-5-1-1 formation (I've gone for 1 at the back because Baldwin was so often isolated it felt like that). But bl00dy hell it was great to watch (when we won) and the Boreham Wood (especially) and Chesterfield games were edge of the seats nails to the quick something else (and I've seen all our visits to Wembley)
