I could have written this too. So right!

Whether it's the hit-and-miss formations that get put on the field or the ragbag of old-hat tactics adopted or the patently obvious absence of inspiration provided by the management team, we simply lack creativity. Everything seems predictable and, even when, very occasionally, we try something different, it lacks coherence.

Based on our poor performances since we went off the boil, (and we weren't on it for long and it wasn't exactly blood-stirring,) I wasn't expecting much but thought I'd stay faithful and make the effort for what was a 4.30am kick off in my neck of the woods.

I'm good at taking disappointment from the Millers. Like most on here, I've been doing it on and off for many decades. For me, though, that was, in some ways, a new low. Not because we played devastatingly badly but just because it really confirmed what a deep rut of ordinariness and lack of spirit we've slipped into and what a lot we will need to do to get out of it.

I suspect we will have to put up with hobbling along with what we have but, sooner or later, we will need new leadership. This isn't going to get any better with what we have in place.

Nombe & Wilkes should have been the only 2 up front. Been the same all season no wide right player Hatton unused on the bench again don't know if he can play there. No other left back either or right come to think of it. Or fit centre back light in midfield. No thought gone into cover in the squad.

I thought this would be a drab affair because it was two teams low on confidence and it proved to be the case. Two poor teams today with us being marginally better on the day.

In our two encounters this season, I have to say that I've never seen a Rotherham team put up that less of a fight. You guys must be tearing your hair out after seeing that. At least if you fought hard and lost or gave it a real go it would be at least something.

We have been so vulnerable at the back this season, and generally cave in when teams put us under pressure. Evans tactics were to sit back, allow us to have the ball and never really put us under pressure barring a spell at the start of the second half. We then break away and pinch a penalty which was your own undoing and it killed off whatever momentum you had going at that point.

I think it's worrying times for both sets of fans. I wasn't particularly chuffed with our own performance and lack of fight today but it was enough and as I say, Evans tactics certainly surprised me.
Keep posting mate. You are spot on see you next season pal.

Trying to look at this as clinically as possible:
We had two players today who earned their substantial wages. Odoffin and Nombe.
    Wilks might have a claim.
    But the rest were terrible.
I have been a supporter of Powell but he had a complete stinker.
How many more times are we going to let James cost us the game?
    Pelly. Invisible.
Our plethora of strikers...all equally useless.
    Phillips. Nah.
    Rafferty. Bad game.
I could go on. But let's talk tactics. We don't have any.
There was a massive hole in central midfield that everyone could see apart from our management team..
Barnsley are just a bunch of brawlers but we wilted against them. Their keeper had nothing to do.
I have supported Mr Evans but maybe tonight he needs to look in the mirror and tell himself some home truths and contemplate the future

Based on that performance, Evo's done. The players aren't playing for him now. If you can't perform in a local derby, then the game's up.

But performances haven't always been poo. Early season I thought, bar Exeter, they were good. Charlton, for instance. I wanted Rotherham to re-sign Smudge, as I knew Rohl wanted to move him on. He'd have buried some of those early chances, and I think the season would then have been quite different.

As for a replacement, well I'd say Warne too. The football's not great, but he gets it right in both boxes. But would he work for Swiss Tony again?

Actually, thinking about it, we said someone else could do better with the last squad shower. Look how that turned out.
