This is a serious subject, but sadly, serious debate is impossible because people choose to talk cobblers instead.

Have you checked out the conditions attached to the suspended sentence.

There will be someone to correct us if we are wrong.

Most people were convinced by their lawyers to plead guilty to get a reduced sentence!
For those that posted things online that were sentenced for inciting violence how many of them would have spent time inside if they had pleaded not guilty?
Would the crown have actually had to prove that someone had gone to a place and committed a crime because the online post had told them or encouraged them to do so?

If so how impossible would it have been to connect the two?

    Baffling!

    2 tier kier.
    2 tier justice.
    2 tier solicitors
    2 tier police.
Hypocrisy and shameful all of the above.

The double standards of judicial outcomes is disgraceful.

Unfortunately Kerr is only pointing out what the law is.

There's been no double standards with sentencing.

Hard to stomach but it is what it is.

I may be mistaken, but there seems to be a pattern here.

Many of the posters who want to monster Amesbury and for the key to his cell to be thrown away also seem to want to minimise the offending of those involved in the post Southport violence either directly or by incitement...

And they also seem to want to complain about a two tier approach.

Can you give an example of someone who had been sent down for hurty words? By which I mean actual hurty words as opposed to inciting violence.
