I certainly believe that he needs some good people backing him up but he has done a reasonable job under difficult circumstances this season & is gradually gaining in experience. If there is a outstanding candidate that the owners have in mind then fair enough but if it's going to be another unknown lucky dip the old saying " be careful what you wish for" springs to mind. Do you really think Maynard was the most experienced manager available???
A part time manager with very limited experience and no track record of success managing a mid table level 5 team.

He's turned out to be exactly what it said on his CV.

Left field appointments rarely work. Notts County players and importantly supporters, deserve better than hoping a man who has achieved nothing is the answer

To be fair to Mark Hughes, they had a PPG of 0.75 at the time he took over, 1.18 since, the 18th best in the league then till now. He made a fight of what looked like a lost cause.

For us to be as arrogant as F-word fans we'd need to be demanding/expecting us to be at - or just below - our high water mark. We're three levels below that.

It's really not arrogant to expect the team with comfortably the second highest gates to get promoted.

It?s arrogant to ?expect? it - if gates were everything the league table of the 92 would read very differently.

You can twist it any way you want to suit any narrative, the big gates are a testament to the progress of the club (despite many idiots preseason predictions of 6000 gates again).

The high gates are because of the team and the owners - and shouldnt be used as a stick to beat them with.

I don't know because I haven't seen a list of applicants, have you??? I would love to know how many of the posters voting to sack Maynard predicted at least a PO place before the season started, very few I suspect so despite over achieving ( at least in their eyes ) they are still adamant he should go, strange imo. He should absolutely go.

His lack of tactical nous has cost us automatic promotion - we are in the playoffs despite him, not because of him.

Nice chap, but we should be looking for better.
