Do you not believe in the concept of 12th man?
Why do clubs on the whole get more points playing at home than away?
Answer:- Backing from the fans.
Otherwise there would be little advantage other than familiarity with the surroundings.
Some people dont just sit on their seat, they sit on their hands.
I agree with this in principle, but at the same time I think... they're kids. Our oldest player is in his early 30s and the rest are all in their 20s. 20-28yo professionals in most fields really do need encouragement from their elders to hit their stride.
And hell, if I had 10,000 (mostly much older) people grumbling at me (literally) when I missed a pass, I'd bet money the next pass it harder to make.
That said, obviously I don't attend matches at all and am not in a position to criticise anyone who does.
As well as being a season ticket holder I've watched Notts away 13 times this season, so I feel I have a reasonable perspective. The away support is superb and I genuinely believe it lifts the players. That and home teams being more attack minded have enabled us to have a great away record.
However at home, the Kop is generally in good voice prior to matches but becomes muted when we struggle to break teams down.
If you want ML rocking then the conductor needs to raise the tempo, something he seems reluctant to do.
Are we/ clubs allowed to play music during s game that could possibly inspire the kop to sing etc.?...a bit of we will rock you or notts county's the team for me etc...!!! Play it and they will follow.? Possibly...

Agree with every word of this. Home support starts off great but often the soporific nature of our performances this season has soon quietened it down.
As regards Saturday, I very much do want results to go our way but I think getting promoted with only 75 points would suggest a bit of a blood bath next season.
I recently went to a game in Poland?… Wisla Krakow?… no away fans, yet the atmosphere was decent. They (like us) had a Kop that was full of like minded people wanting to chant. What they also had was a bloke with a mega phone at the front with 2 blokes on the big drums leading the way?… they didn?’t stop for the full 90 minutes, even when they went one down.
What I also liked was when they scored everyone with a scarf swung it above there heads. Which I thought looked mega. So can imagine it looked good at pitch level.
I genuinely feel that fans do make a difference at games. I saw a comment earlier about players being professionals?… that?’s true, but at professional level the smallest margin can make a difference.
I really dislike Aden Baldwin and know his performances deteriorated as fans started having a go.
Look at clubs where fans are at loggerheads with the owners, mostly struggle. Man Utd are probably the biggest club in England and it?’s no surprise to see them struggle when fans are more focused on the Glazers than the team. Spurs fans with Levy too.

My opening sentence or two show that I completely understand and agree that a home fan base being loud, encouraging and consistent is a massive help.
My issue is with it being the fans responsibility to drag a performance out of the team if it?s flat. It is not our responsibility.
The benefits of a good crowd are obvious and not lost on me. But is it our responsibility? No.
Totally agree on fans grumbling vs fans encouraging; obviously its a no brainer to be positive rather than negative. Goes without saying.
I also get the age thing to some extent, but the sacrifice, dedication, grind even the youngest players have shown to get into that position show they have genuine professionalism.
I just do not think it is the fans responsibility to drag a performance out of a team.
