Platt 4 - I don't know what's happened to platt but he's been the shadow of the player he was earlier in the season for a while now. Looks reluctant to put himself about and was embarrassing for their 2nd. Just head the ball ffs.

McDonald 5 - Should not be starting for a team with supposed promotion aspirations.

Palmer 5 - what does matty Palmer actually contribute to the team these days?

Abbott 7 - The only played worthy to wear the shirt, yet again.

Jones 5 - Similar to platt; looks nothing like the player he was earlier this season, and decided to do his best Kyle Cameron impression for their second.

Gordon 4 - His attitude stinks and his crossing his atrocious.

Grant 4 - Horrendous player, looked like he'd rather be anywhere but at ML today.

Whitaker 5 - At least tried to progress the ball but did nothing to actually influence the game.

Jatta 5 - I'd left before he scored but seeing him described as a dog chasing a balloon on a windy day summed his performance up for me. Looks unfit and lacking confidence.

Macari 5 - Nothing of note

Jarvis 5 - simular to whitaker, tried to get the ball forward but constantly gave it away

Edwards 5 - another one whose nowhere near the level required. His signing screams of another penny pinching exercise in hindsight.

Austin 6 - Did well to set up the goal and glad to see him back finally.

Hinchy - 5 Nothing of note.
I almost felt bad for Abbott today - he was so much better than everyone but there's only so much he could do alone.

To answer your question about Palmer flippantly, he chugs around, probably sideways, until he meets resistance then he plays whichever is the most ultra conservative pass available. Throw in a few crap set pieces as well. To be fair to him, chugging around and playing easy passes is probably his job description, but Jesus Christ it's no wonder we don't create anything.

Jodi did seem to bottle a tackle for their second but he's got plenty of credit in the bank and with his injury situation that's understandable. I hope he wouldn't do that in a playoff game.

Jatta scored but is a shadow of his former self. I was watching him warm up against Harrogate and he was missing the target and putting them straight at the keeper in the drills. Playing to his weaknesses every game can't help, but he is so far off his top form it's hard to believe it's the same player.

Defenders were uncharacteristically bad. Grant had a shocker. Jarvis couldn!t dribble. Bad day all round.

Good to see Austin back, can't think of any other positives apart from him and Abbott.
