The concern is that the club is turning the clock back to that era.
New Manager / Head Coach resulting in a brand new team.
Everything including the baby thrown out with the bath water every time there is a new HC.
The club has painful history of doing that.
Those with a decent memory can remember those dark days - months and seasons.
When nothing on the field was being built from one season to the next.
Unless we hear something different - then this is indeed what the club is proposing.
James experienced this at first hand and if I was him I?d be fighting tooth and nail to prevent it from ever happening again.
The recent strategy of the club was a solid one - which is basically a playing style and formation - and a recruitment system that identifies HCs and young hungry players that can slot straight into that system.
Clearly this strategy has come off the rails over this last two seasons as a result of the appointment of HCs that the club came to realise were totally incompatible.
But that strategy has been proved to be a success in the past and has brought in ???millions of income through developing players and selling them on.
Of course the strategy can evolve - but it shouldn?t be ditched.
