    Season over.

We should have been promoted automatically.
    - we have thrown away a golden opportunity in a weak league.

The squad and manager only have themselves to blame.

    Jatta is absolutely no loss.

Everyone connected with the club is to blame.
Even the owners need to seriously ask themselves have they done enough to give the best possible chance of promotion this season.
I don't even want to think about how sick I'm going to feel at about 2;30 on Saturday, can others say the same.

To me, being a supporter of your local team is all about hope and glory, hoping they play well, hoping they score, hoping they win and then basking in the glory of the win and then hoping they do it again the following week. If you don’t have the hope your team will play well, score and win then you might as well give up and take up knitting etc. Even if your team loses every week you still live in hope that the next week will bring a win and so a bit of glory so; COYP’s

I have had all of those hopes every single game for over 50 years.

Even though I've been let down more often than not, I still take it to the next game.

If we had lost in the playoffs in our promotion season I would have been absolutely gutted, because we clearly deserved it over the season and failure would have played on my mind for a long time. If we lose in the playoffs this season I will be disappointed, but I'll get over it quickly because I honestly don't think we deserve to go up. We've just not made the most of what we have. We can blame injuries, bad refs, bad luck as much as we want but my gut feeling is that we've not earned promotion.

If we managed to go up I would be ecstatic, but if we don't I will cope comfortably.

Do you understand the difference between hope and expectation? One involves the heart, the other the head. It's perfectly normal to hope Notts win at Wimbledon without expecting it. I hope we will win 2-0, but I expect a 1-1 draw.

As Meatloaf once sang, you took the words right out of my mouth. I just posted:
