Clearly either that was just complete pish, or the type of character he wants and looks for is completely wrong.

He seems to think hes still in the Swedish league - which Im sure is nowhere near as quick and physical as it is here.

He needs to accept the fact he needs to adapt his style to his environment.

That doesnt mean signing a bunch of hoofball merchants. It does mean signing players with the physical and mental attributes to play against hoofball merchants though.

You can surely get players who fit your system but also have the physical and mental traits required.

Sadly, hes shown zero indication he can so far and the clock is very much ticking now.

It's been a rollercoaster of a season with many highs and many lows, but what a flat way to end a league season that initially promised so much.

All we needed was a draw today and couldn't even get that. The one thing I really wanted from this season, was to not finish below Utd and what happens...

Seeing Jack Mack coming off the pitch, on a chair with a head injury, due to something allegedly thrown from our own fans was quite a sight and not a good look for the club.

All we needed was a draw over 45 minutes when we were already a goal up - and they couldna even manage that. In fact, we could afford to lose that second half 1-0, but no.

Thats how utterly weak and feeble this team are.

As for the walking away bit - if Thelin is as weak mentally as his squad, then its a definite possibility, but if as you say the club were aware of the possibility and also open to it at season end, why have they allowed him to spend all that money in January and another 400k last week on the Aussie?

Doesnt really add up for me.

I honestly have no idea if true. The person who told me is usually quite good, but I haven't spoke to him since that day for any sort of update.
If he does go in the summer then it?s pointless bringing another foreign manager because it?s not going to work.

People will have to accept the run of the mill manager from the Scottish merry go round.

Maybe see how Leven gets on but im not optimistic.

Yep - unless someone injected tens of millions to allow us to sign proper difference makers (they wont) then Robinson would be an absolute cert, if he was daft enough to take it.

Nothing against him, hes done a great job at Saints, but what a depressing thought. Just the pointless repetitive tedium of it all.

How much say has he got in bringing in players though?
I honestly don't think he has much say if being honest, just like I didn't think previous managers had too much influence over our signing policy either.
It's just to disjointed for my liking.

We know Nilsen was his boy, but the rest? Who knows, not me.

If what I posted has any truth in it, we will likely find out in the next two weeks.

If I was him I wouldnt take the job because there is a seriously huge chance that he wouldnt last longer than a year.

We could end up having to give the job to out of work managers.

Maybe John yogi Hughes will put in his cv again.

A foreign manager could work, if he understands the basics, knows how to keep players motivated and is flexible with tactics.

I suspect it will be another appointment from Scotland, which may not be a bad thing, but not too many managers that are currently standing out.

I wouldn't be against Leven taking a shot at it. He showed in a short spell last season that he could organise a team and keep the players motivated. He also showed some tactical nous during games too, something we have missed this season. Appointing him would still be a risk, but any manager we appoint will be a risk.

If Jimmy stays and get on with it, then we just have to hope he turns it around very, very quickly as he will be under pressure from the start.

Probs a bit of a mix.

Nilssen, Jensen & Okkels are defo his. Knoester and Tobers I bet are his as well. Would fit his system, but dont have the physical attributes to play here as far as I can see.

Dorrington seems to fit his profile too.

Dabbagh - meh, probs all that was available short notice. Nisbet probs not his but hasnt been too bad given hes scored 14 goals.

Anything early last summer may well not be his, but overall id say the players signed since then are all very much his.

Trouble is, they are just clearly not the right types for this league.
