I'd add Grant, Hinchy, Gordon and Traore. But we will see.

Whitaker the only slight surprise - maybe an indication that McGoldrick may stay on?

No real surprises overall. Sad to see Sam Austin go, hopefully he stays in L2.

I think Grant is OK and gets a lot of unfair criticism. He's started to affect games more in recent weeks. If not for two incredible saves, he scores a brace in the semi first leg and wins us the game. Work rate is good too. I think he'll play an important role next season, but I'd like to see him get 10 goals or so.

Very presumptuous of you to speak for everyone. I for one was on the fence with Whitaker but there were a fair few saying keep him. Better just to speak for yourself in future posts.

Traore needs a pre season like Jatta. But if you don't play to a players strengths he's gonna struggle.
Whittaker I called a headless chicken when he 1st came to Notts. Has improved, & with a good pre season & a Summer in the gym would have been a useful squad player.
Austin must be gutted. Put plenty of shifts in & thrown in at the deep end after being out.
Slocombe was never going to get another contract at his age plus not overly confident in our style of play at the back.
Gordon should have been made available. One trick pony

Almost think he'll sign for Everton U23s again and it was a way to get round the loan window being shut. Everything about it is odd.

Both of their contracts have another year to run I think.

With so many ?squad? players already contracted next season, there?s no place to retain people with the same title. Gutted for Austin but the right decision.
We?ve got the squad players and we?ve got the ones for the future. What we need now is the next batch of Langstaffs, Crowleys and Ruben?s.
I don?t understand the want to keep Whitaker at all. He?s been ok but nothing close to the quality we need.
