Well the retained list doesn't leave much scope for anything radical.

I hope that proven, quality players are signed. Ones that we could be sure of, should we get promoted. Not ones for the future that aren't.

One thing to remember is there are new EFL spending rules in L1/L2 so we may not be able to throw cash around.

We look to be saddled with a number of misfits and injury prone players.

People wishing for LW need a rethink he will have seen how average our squad is and stay clear.

What makes me laugh is a number of posters slaughtered Maynard now the dust has settled we dont actually have a good squad 🤣🤣

Just for clarity I think Maynard has to part ways for his and the clubs sake.

At least we have Jatta, if we provide the right type of service for him as we used to with Macca. Despite his recent loss of form it's hard to argue with 19 league goals and 4 assists tbf.

Be a bonus if we can get the ball into him from the sides/edge of the box instead of him being isolated and having to receive a long ball with his back to the goal. Bloke never had a chance and ran his socks off.

I would have sacked him the same time the Saunders Bros left..

Well that would be a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

If he has the right players to play his fast game then yes but look at that squad he?d do f**k all with it.

We need at least 5-6 players to go into the side and yet people said this side is the best in the league it?s frankly laughable.

As for Maynard it?s best he goes as Russ says this new recruitment guy hasn?t got a great rep and I?d hate to see things get toxic as if it did we could face a battle to stay up as daft as it sounds.

Must admit I find it hard to ignore the fact that our form nosedived around the time the Saunders brothers left. Was it because they were the real force behind the good stuff, or was Maynard hung out to dry because he had minimal assistance?

Hindsight suggests to me it was the former rather than the latter.
