He didn't mention the ?fact? that she gave her speech in Urdu. He copied and pasted an article from an unidentified source that said that she was born in Pakistan (she wasn't) and that Rotherham is a city (it isn't). The article also implied that there was something irregular in her having been appointed to her (purely honorary) position by councillors (just like every other mayor that Rotherham has had). With those obvious inaccuracies on display, I would question whether anyone could be satisfied that the reference to her giving her speech in Urdu is true. I would also question where howdy came by that information.

I stand to be corrected (as always) but it may be that she gave part of her speech in Urdu to reflect her heritage and the makeup of the Rotherham population but I?m not convinced that?s a hanging offence or even an issue.

You say that one of her chosen charities seems to dismiss the massive issue in the town. How does that work? There are a host of charities that touch upon issues within the town. Does favouring one that she might have an insight into mean that she is dismissing every other cause? Clearly not.

I thought it was supposed to be the liberal left who search for things to be offended by?

Rotherham has a major issue with white girls getting raped/physically/mentally attacked. 25% of her chosen charities are aimed at women suffering from this but not white women/children.

She is the mayor of Rotherham.

She?s chosen Rotherham hospice as well. That?s one that will resonate with the people of Rotherham.

All the mayor of Rotherham has to do is open events and receive flowers whilst looking half decent with a big fat gold necklace.

Regardless of who was wearing the chain there were a lot of them involved with the cover up of the raping of hundreds of known cases of child rape.

Let?s not be too flippant about the real issue.

They should have all been thrown out and the council should have started a new.

I knew nothing of the mayoral appointment until it popped up on here so did a search and without doubt a number of videos on Youtube that are at the 'top of the search charts' have a Tommy Robinson feel about them.

There lies the issue. Is that really a true representation of what the issue is?
Tommy Robinson views are extreme. Some people just have genuine concerns but are conveniently lumped together.
I have concerns but employ a Muslim manager who is amazing by the way what does that make me fearful ?
