    Managers who have already achieved promotion and success at the level we currently play at are more likely to do so again than those who have achieved nothing. If our strategy is to maximise our chances of promotion, we'd be better off getting a manager who has already managed that elsewhere. It's not a guarantee of success, but it's less of a risk than what we normally do.

    Re Hinshelwood, I suppose he would have achieved promotion last season in any other division. 96 points is pretty incredible and it's a huge injustice that they aren't in L2. That alone makes him a stronger candidate than most on the list.
