Michael Cooper is a very decent Keeper and would be a great buy if we are selling Trafford. If young James is going to Newcastle make sure we squeeze every penny out of the Geordies this time after they got Pope at a considerable undervalue. They’ve got Champions League money as well as being an offshoot of Saudi plc.

The Daily Fail quotes ?30 million for Trafford. Hopefully he will not be undersold and that the finances don’t dictate a fire sale approach.

One aspect I don’t understand is that, including Trafford, there are three goalkeepers in the squad and four in the U21’s. I am not suggesting that we play an U21 but with one on the pitch and one on the bench and four in reserve, do we really need to spend money on a replacement for Trafford? Promote Chris Casper to the squad to get the experience?

I am fine with this as long as we don't pay over the odds for him, he is a decent keeper but Trafford is far better with his feet

We are talking premier league not league 1.
A top class keeper is a must if we want to have any chance of premier league survival

Word coming out of Turf Moor is ALK have put a price of 40 million quid on Trafford's head and this time it's take it or leave it.

His value would shoot up if Tommy Tuchel would give him a game.

Read elsewhere that Palace and Bayern or after Esteve. We really can't afford to sell, but if they come in with an offer over 40 million we will no doubt be tempted.

Whilst 40 million plus would be good money I still think it?s a mistake at this time - I honestly believe this lad could be the next big thing - he?s an amazing knack of stepping in and reading the game and on top of that he doesn?t go to ground a lot and has pace and strength - if it goes how I think it might I reckon 60 70 million would be nearer the mark in time.

The big clubs are ensuring that the promoted 3 go back down again. They are simply asset stripping all the best players from the promoted clubs to ensure their own survival at our expense. I hate this league already before a ball has been kicked! At this rate none of them will ever face relegation; it's a great business strategy to keep that 100 million flowing each year into your coffers.
