Name me one club our size that's gone bust in the last 50 years with supporters left with no option but to go and watch another team. It doesn't happen. Bury had averaged less than 4k for all but one season this century and went under in exceptional circumstances (now on their way back up).
The notion that we wouldn't have a club if it wasn't for the bros is BS. We were averaging 7k the season we went down, Either somebody else would have come in at the last minute (as is often the case to get the cheapest deal possible) or we would have gone into admin and got picked up for peanuts.
The current owners have got the extra ticket money coming in that previous owners didn't have (3-6k more people through the gate) and also the extra TV money thanks to the Covid boom across football. This is a long way away from begging for 8 through the gate (and getting 5.5k) whilst having to deal with the collapse of the ITV digital deal.
