Crewe just signed Phil Croker (18) from Oxford City. A Centre Half. One for the future but at 6ft 3, may get a few games this season.

"One of the most exciting Centre Backs in the country", according to the 'i' newspaper. The Alex and an ' unnamed Championship club's triggered his release clause. The agreement also included a "significant sell-on clause" as well as an undisclosed fee.
We now have, potentially, 6 centre backs at the club unless Williams leaves. Assuming he doesn't, would that mean the Alex are not in the market for any more?

If we get him, we still need a lot more. Another 2 full backs maybe. And a couple of goalscoring wingers (but one's that can get behind rather than cut inside).

Now he has signed. And Dancey. Just done when they came in for fitness training etc I suppose. Williams of course hasn't signed. Wonder if he's appeared atReaseheath at all. No news on Tracey either, but whatever they do there it won't affect pre- or early season sadly.

And immediately more news! With Williams Lee Bell's "in talks with his agent and I hope next week we will know where we’re going to be at.

“They are open and honest conversations. Zac’s in training, working hard, and looks well so there are no problems on that front.”

Tracey won't appear this year, and Bell's sticking to support for him not in the talks with agent, but there they're trying "to come up with a plan which means we’re able to look after him and he’s still part of the Football Club."

Sadly rumours are we are about to re sign the midfield Oompa Loompa which would be a huge backward step for the club.

The only reason Williams has a contract offer is for compensation reasons he would have been released had that not been the case.

As for Tracey we are a club with little money as it is cut him loose and wish him all the best
