Im afraid Lai left us in a position where we have to sell to survive. The new owners have been amazing in being clear on this, changing the scouting strategy and spending the money we receive.

As for Griffiths, give him time he will be fine.

Gunn is going to Forest anyway.

Home grown player ( pure profit ) or buying a player. Most business owners though still would or should look at the balance sheet as anything other is irrelevant. You can dress up anything you like but it?s what a business has in pure assets or money in the bank. Bit like saying two players in the treatment room is the same thing - in Dike?s case on a salary of over 30K a week it?s not the same. Dike will be picking up around 750K per year more than say Bany who is keeping him company.

Those businesses who pay staff 100K a year will want blood as opposed to staff who are on around 30/40K. So for me you have to evaluate what our highest earners - Wallace - Bartley - Dike - Furlong etc bring to the party! Seems not a lot as no other club would be interested in them or certainly not paying the same level of wages.

Sorry Al, youre debating this but I dont think you get the PSR rules. We would have started this season with a points deduction if we breached it and reports we were £2m shy of this over a 3 year period. Its not just about balance sheets any more.

We know there is a problem with Dike, Wallace, Bartley and co. The club will know this too. But if we cant sell them, they stay.

Sadly the new owners are copping it for the last ones but fans should know that we will be selling for profit to survive and grow.

Get what you are saying but let?s be clear - other players could have been sold off at a giveaway price like Paimer was who are not crucial to the side. Palmer whilst his value is not of Fellows in my view was more of an important piece of the jigsaw than him.

Griffiths is like a Honda compared to Paimer being a BMW.
