I honestly dont think thats the reason at all. He's a good player and has started with a bang,makes sense to get him permanent ASAP.

Absolutely. Could mean the difference between a couple of million or sfa.

That's amazing if true. No way the club could/should turn down an offer like this for a player that has done hardly anything for us.
