    Anyway DeeDon my good friend

I hear what you are saying but he winna be doing that and going home with the minimum wage at the end of the week.
Is the enhanced match day experience purely down to him single handedly or has he been helped along with TV, media etc
I would hazard a guess it got a lot to do with the latter as when you look across most teams in the top two divisions in Scotland average attendances are in general up and even a day out at East End park and Somerset is a better experience than it was a few years back.
Burrows is just riding the crest of the wave.

I am confident we will turn our season around. With or without Burrows

Fans in general are mainly bi-polar, nae offense meant min.

Football fans have always been fickle, long before the internet and social media, but certainly got worse with it.

I just don't honestly see the point in having a go at the administrators, who have little influence on the football on the pitch. We are pretty well run at the moment, a long way from the dark days of wiggy at the helm and I think if Burrows was really crap at his job he wouldn't be at Pittodrie. Be the nature of his role, he will probably be away soon enough and wouldn't surprise me if he ended up at one of the EPL clubs.

I get the moaning about what is happening on the pitch, we are all entitled to our opinions on that, however different they might be, but the Gunner/Burrows shyte isn't for me.

Thank you for your response to a genuine question.

So the matchday experience has increased due to having a pie of the month.

Can anyone elaborate how it was awarded and who the hell awarded this prize.

Whilst I'd be happy to see us try it, I don't think that is our main issue.

We need more from our creative players and more energy from our two midfielders.

I am honestly confident that Jimmy's system will come good and getting that first league goal will release the pressure.

I'll understand if others don't share my confidence though.

Yep it all comes down to midfield for me as well.
Feel like I’ve being wanging on about it for years. Apart from that brief spell with Rama don’t think it’s clicked since (I feel dirty) the rat left.

Now obviously we had the run when JT came in but feel that was as much us being an unknown prospect and likes of Devlin, McGrath etc playing out of their skin.

I really hope Armstrong is the missing piece. That he can play on the turn and positively. Pig sick of Nilsen playing sideways (and often slackly.) I thought he was outstanding when he came in so really hope we see that again and it’s not just a rapid and irreversible decline. Is it instruction? Palaversa as lovely as a technical player he is doesn’t cover nearly enough ground. Shinnie too slow at times to release the ba (although I’d always want him on the pitch when we are behind). Polvara is obviously not trusted, I do rate him but I’m conscious that that’s been true for every Aberdeen manager not just JT. Clarkson is a football player and I’d build my team around him but JT’s set up doesn’t seem to suit him and he can drift out of games.

I don’t know if it’s the set up, or the intensity or the approach but all of that is on JT. Our wide (inverted…)players being our ball carriers just hasn’t worked but he seems wedded to it. Keskinin i just don’t see it TBH. I so hoped for a midfield ‘runner’ in the window.

Apart from Armstrong the guys above have all been here for over a season but he still doesn’t know his first picks.

And as much as I’ve criticised them, the individual calibre of player in there is so much better than the likes of Ojo, Vyner, Ball, Forrester, Gleeson, Bryson etc but we’re not achieving anything more than them*.

I’m still hanging on to that early run and that it IS just nuance and once we hit on a line up we’ll settle in but it’s been an awful long time now and JT’s changes nearly always only being like for like does worry me. I’m not quite as confident in his system as you but momentum is such a huge factor so touch wood and fingers crossed.

*of course the exception being the cup when JT did alter his system…

Aye OBI min, all that is pretty much is spot on min, and it is hard to disagree with any of it.
I still think we should be going with two up top. I would also build my midfield and wingers around Clarkson as there is no doubt he has the skill and ability but for some reason JT does not seem to recognize this which is baffling.
I would like to see us go:
    Mitov.
    Dorrington (or Milne)
    Knoester
    Gyamfi
Devlin (nae laughing up the back of the bus)
    Armstrong (or Shinnie) (Captain role)
    Clarkson
    Karlsson
Milanovic (although nae convinced with him as of yet)
    Nisbet
    Lazetic

Ok a tweak here and there but something like that would work for me and I really think is worth giving it a go

The frustrating thing is that we have some very good football players, but for whatever reason it's just not clicking.
My reason for wanting it to click, is knowing the path we go down if it doesn't

It took Jimmy 18 months to get it right at Elfsborg, we are not far off that now and I know our record over the past 31 league games is a shocker, but that cup win gives him time, at least the first round of league games for me.

Shinnie I still want in the team, but we need to utilise him correctly, as he can't do it all, but you can never fault his effort.

Every team needs a Brian Grant.
They don't get the praise, they actually get a lot of stick, but you miss them when not in the team.
Help the defence and let the flair players do their thing.

I don't think that player is Nilsen. Adapting to the Scottish game at 33 was a step too much for him. Better and younger players than him have failed in our 'pub' league.
Even during our winning run last season, he still gave the ball away a lot, but results masked a lot of issues in the team, but nobody cared when we were winning.

I think we might see Tobers in the middle. I think it was Rico, who says that midfield is his position in the Latvian team and can't do much worse than what we are currently seeing.

This football managing lark isn't quite as easy as most of us think it is.

Pretty much 100% what Brian said.
